Graduate Research Assistants
Ashlee Saxon, M.S., B.S. Human Development & Family Sciences
Ashlee is a graduate of Texas State who has studied Human Development and Family Sciences and completed a master’s thesis. Ashlee graduated from Texas State University with her Master of Science in HDFS in August of 2025 and plans on continuing as an affiliate with the ARC Lab to publish manuscripts and conduct research. Ashlee will be continuing her education in Social Work through a Master’s program at Angelo State University and pursuing clinical licensure to work with children and families in the future. Her career goals are to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and provide therapy and psychoeducation for children and their parents/families. She also hopes to become an LCSW-Supervisor and an agency director.
Mary Prochazka, B.A in Psychology
Mary is a graduate student at Texas State University in the Master of Arts in Psychological Research program. She is a graduate of St. Edward’s University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. She is largely interested in childhood trauma and how this affects the development of disorders in minority populations. Mary plans on working towards becoming a Clinical Psychologist. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and spending time outside.

Shreeya Khatiwada
Shreeya is a Psychology major with a minor in Criminal Justice at Texas State University. She is a senior and graduates in May, 2025. After graduation, she plans on continuing her education in Psychology through a Master’s or a Doctorate program. Shreeya loves reading mystery books, rewatching favorite shows every chance she gets, and going hiking with her loved ones. Her career goal is to become a Clinical Psychologist and specialize in forensic psychology!
Emily Mondragon-Castro
Emily is a student at Texas State University majoring in psychology and minoring in business administration. She plans to graduate in December, 2025 and attend graduate school. In the future, she hopes to become a mental health counselor specializing in helping the Latinx community. Outside of school, Emily enjoys cooking, gaming, and spending time with her loved ones.
Abril Ayub
Abril is a sophomore at Austin Community College who plans to transfer to a four-year university where she will complete her undergraduate studies. She has a strong interest in social sciences and data analysis and is excited about the opportunity to learn from different fields as her career grows. Outside of academics she enjoys spending time in nature, listening and learning about music, and playing soccer.
Taylor Cervana
Taylor is a senior at Texas State University and plans on graduating in December, 2025. She is a Psychology major with a minor in Criminal Justice. She’s interested in a career in Healthcare. Upon graduation, Taylor plans on attending graduate school for Business Administration. She also loves to hike and cook!
