Project SKETCH

Project SKETCH (Study of Korean Ethnic minority Teens in China) is a cross-sectional survey study of 267 Korean ethnic minority adolescents recruited from a Korean autonomous prefecture in Northeast China. The study has collected data on adolescents’ self-reports of demographic characteristics, acculturation, ethnic socialization, parenting, and well-being, such as psychological, physical, and behavioral health, as well as academic performance. There are two other parallel studies that have utilized the same survey and have collected data from Korean American adolescents in the U.S. Midwest and from South Korean adolescents in Seoul. Therefore, the three datasets can be combined to analyze cross-cultural differences of the developmental processes and outcomes of ethnic Korean youth living in three distinct sociocultural contexts.
